Our Client Company is looking for a Staff Accountant reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting to provide assistance in the month-end general ledger close, monitor and track fixed assets, reconcile cash, and assist in preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities: Prepare month-end journal entries for payroll, cash activity, fixed assets and balance sheet activity. Assist in preparation of the monthly financial statements and management reports. Prepare key balance sheet account reconciliations. Maintain and review monthly cash activity. Maintain any activity involving company fixed assets. Assist in weekly payroll related processes. Maintain company precious metal pool account and precious metal lease balances Assist in any internal/external audits and prepare required information. Review and monitor accounts payable prices and postings to the general ledger. Participate in annual physical inventory count. Assist accounts receivable, payroll and accounts payable clerks with problem solving. Maintain SOX documentation. Interact with Parent Company for requests and reporting. Qualifications: BS in Accounting 2-5 years experience within a manufacturing environment with demonstrated knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting principles. Experience using SAP required. Strong demonstrated skills in Excel, database extraction and manipulation. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment. Experience in automated accounting setting.
