Accounts Payable Clerk
BASIC FUNCTION: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for assisting with the Gaming Operation’s and Resort’s accounts payable departments. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the company’s policies and procedures and Internal Control Standards and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and types correspondence, forms and reports.
- Ensures competency of work from the standpoint of grammar, composition, format, and accuracy.
- Sets up and maintains files and records.
- Maintains PO/Receiving Logs.
- Prepares invoices to be entered into the accounting system which includes securing appropriate authorizations and verifying account codes.
- Reviews and receives invoices, check requests, and other documents for completeness and accuracy in accordance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times; maintains a professional work environment with vendors, staff, and supervisors.
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed; hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
- Assists in developing progressive concepts of financial control and debt obligations and implements these concepts as standard procedures.
10. Provides accounting, auditing and analysis services for account portfolios.
11. Prepares end of month reports.
12. Handles accounts and clients to arrange timely payments. In accordance with this task, prepares form letters and inquiries.
13. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
14. Attends all necessary training meetings.
15. Assists in other projects, as directed.
16. Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.

- High School diploma or its equivalency.
- Minimum of 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Must have experience using MS Office applications.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Must be able to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
