"> "> Job Description Supervises accountants and/or clerks performing basic accounting and bookkeeping activites. These activities include posting entries to general ledger, balancing statements and fnancial reports, calculating revenue recognition and billing. Responsible for accurate reporting of revenues & recoverable expenses and the collection, recording, and reporting of accounting transactions. Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role.
Supervises well-defined and homogeneous teams with moderate degrees of complexity. Supervisory responsibility for Accountants and/or Accounting Associates.
Assigns resources and people to specific tasks to support strategy goals. Job Specific Responsibilities
* Assist in the design and implemention of certain aspects of the company's 1099k/6050W compliance systems
* Assist in various aspects of project completion to assist the team in successful completion
* Core duties, and Supervisory oversight relating to IRS 1099k6050W reporting include, but are not limited to;
*
* Back-up withholding remittances
* IRS/State 1099k reporting
* IRS/State reporting inquiries, research and responses
* Multiple system interfaces
* Reconciliation responsibilities relating to 1099k reporting files, remittances, and business unit accounting support for certain cash and liability reconciliation points
* Research and correction responsibilities relating to 1099k reporting and remittances
* Staying current on current and future 1099k/6050W regulations * Misc other duties as assignedOther Duties may include:
* Financial statement prepration
* Monthly Accounting Close duties including journal entry preparation and review, variance analysis, investment accounting.
* Various governmental regulatory compliance activities for the Company Candidate Requirements
* Bachelors degree required.
* Minimum 4+ years accounting experience.
* Adaptability to a fluid environment
* Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline oriented role
* Ability to think, visualize and analyze objectives in an abstract manner
* Self Initiative and Drive to successfully accomplish goals and objectives
* Experience in supervising team with multiple deliverables
