Accounting Clerk
Our company provides integrated business services to Orthodontic and Dental practices throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. This position will complete basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks for an assigned number of practices. Individual will perform reconciliation of cash receipts, expenses, or other transactions to journals or ledgers and verifies accuracy. Individual must analyze, verify and record transactions to journals, ledgers and other records as well as analyzes, investigate and correct accounting entries as needed. Requires thorough understanding of bookkeeping procedures and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to coordinate and complete entire monthly financial statement preparation process within strict designated daily and monthly deadlines by working effectively with multiple individuals in a highly tactful yet precise and professional manner.
Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating completeness and accuracy of financial reports. This ability would include discrepancy identification, determination and implementation of corrective action to resolve errors of self and others involving invoice coding and journal entries.
Ability to accurately and quickly input data into a computer and detect and correct data entry errors at time of data entry.
Ability to understand and apply basic accounting principles.
Accurately apply mathematical principles to prepare monthly reports and reconcile monthly bank account statements with payment registers and resolve discrepancies.
Ability to organize and prioritize work using knowledge of current office technology and business methods
Ability to effectively use PC word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Must be able to communicate in English language, orally and in written form with the general public and staff members using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. Ability to use standard business writing practices and report preparation.
Effectively portray outstanding customer service through courteous and effective oral and written communication skills.
Operate a 10-key by touch.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
