Accounting Assistant Post Date: 08/18/2010 Location: Toronto , ON Assignment: Temporary Pay Rate: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour Start Date: 08/23/2010 Job Order Number: 509-046532 Requirements: The ideal candidate for the role of Accounting Assistant will have 2+ years of experience in a similar role. Perfect communication skills, both verbal and written are mandatory to succeed in this position. Working experience in a clerical accounting capacity is a must for this role. Previous work experience working with SAP R3 FICO and advanced Microsoft Excel is mandatory for this long -term temporary assignment. This role requires a valid drivers license as it requires extensive travel throughout Ontario, and Eastern Canada. The incumbent must be comfortable with working in various locations on a regular basis. Description: Our client, a leader in their field located in the Toronto area, is looking for an Accounting Assistant to assist them with a temporary assignment. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate for this Accounting Assistant role will be responsible for client billing, cash applications, client account reconciliations, processing credit cards and ensuring all inventory items are accounted for during the accounting period. This Accounting Assistant role also involves assisting the Operations Manager with special projects and inventory tracking for costing purposes. Specific responsibilities will include generating invoices, collecting payments and updating the inventory sales journals.
