Accounting Analyst - Special Accounting Operations

The Accounting Analyst - Special Accounting Operations is responsible for assisting in the preparation of whitepapers to document accounting conclusions as required. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in support of monthly/quarterly close process. Prepare reports and support schedules for monthly/quarterly reporting. Assist in the preparation of selected footnotes for inclusion in Chrysler Group LLC financial statements. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements including documentation and testing, as required. Handle special projects, as assigned. The Special Accounting Operations team is seeking to fill two positions. The successful candidates will be a member of a team having responsibility for a range of technical accounting areas under both US GAAP and IFRS. The primary responsibility of one of the positions will include accounting for debt, derivatives and other financial instruments. The other position will be primarily responsible for the accounting for share based payments, restructuring activities, impairment testing and inventory reserves, as well as assisting in IFRS reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. If no Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, must have Master's degree in Finance or Accounting, or Business Administration
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting or Finance, including at least 2 years public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional accounting firm preferred)
• Strong personal computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance
• Excellent technical accounting, analytical and teamwork skills
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion
• Good overall business acumen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution
• Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
• Significant overtime required at quarterly and year-end closes
