Accounting Analyst
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the worlds finest museums, seeks an Accounting Analyst in the Finance Department. The Accounting Analyst role would be responsible for coordinating various activities across all departments as part of the new PCI (Payment Card Industry) requirements. The role would require acting as a liaison with the various credit card processing departments, technology and finance teams to ensure all PCI requirements are met and documented. This position would handle various accounting related functions such as accounting for revenue on a monthly basis, month end close process as well as participate in interim and year end audit. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring all annual PCI attestations from the various impacted departments are up to date; building an understanding of PCI Data Security Standards (DSS); and coordinating with the various departments to ensure PCI systems documentation is up to date. Successful candidates should have 3-5 years related experience (non-profit accounting work experience a plus). A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Ability to demonstrate understanding of key financial and internal controls is a ellent computer skills (including Word and Excel), the ability to prioritize, and excellent communications skills are needed. Prior knowledge of PCI standards or other regulatory compliance environments such as SOX, or others is preferred.
