Accounting Analyst - Fixed Assets
The Accounting Analyst - Fixed Assets is one of thenewly created Asset Accounting positions and is responsible for facilitating and supporting the transition of asset management accounting processes to an upgraded SAP environment. Provide accounting support to Operating & Finance staffs for asset capitalization, transfers, and disposals, asset reuse and useful life adjustments. Populate, monitor and maintain asset master records for assigned locations. Coordinate and report on annual plant physical asset inventories. Perform month end closing activities for assigned plants. Perform monthly account reconciliations. Maintain compliance with internal controls over asset form analysis, reporting and studies as required by vel to manufacturing plants.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, if no Bachelor's degreein Finance or Accounting, must have Master's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Minimum of one year of finance related work experience (including internships)
• High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Word
Preferred Qualifications: • Master's in Accountancy and/ or CMA or other accounting designation
• Knowledge of the asset management lifecycle, especially the asset capitalization andfinancial disposal processes
• Highly motivated self-starter and change agent
• Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong process and systems focus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Some travel to manufacturing plants
