Job Description - Advantage Bookkeeping Professionals, Inc. has an opening for an Experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper. This is a permanent, full time position in a great environment! Duties include full charge bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting. You will be assigned as the Account Manager, and hands-on bookkeeper, for several of our clients and enjoy the challenges and variety this working arrangement offers. All work is done locally in our Naperville, IL office. We use an internal team concept so you are never alone in trying to solve difficult problems or in learning new skills.
Duties:
- AR/AP entry, bill payment and invoicing
- General ledger management
- Preparation of financial statements
- Payroll processing
- Sales tax reporting
- Assist with cash flow management
- Project work such as reconstruction of data or initial setup
- Direct liaison to client
- Various other accounting functions
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in bookkeeping / accounting
- Firm grasp of accounting principles
- Customer service attitude (essential)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter / problem solver / willing to learn new skills
- Multi-tasking ability
- Skilled in QuickBooks® for the PC (but will train the right person)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
