Accountant

Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Accountant performs various accounting functions within established guidelines, procedures and systems. The Accountant has no direct reports and has internal contact with plant personnel and minimal external contacts. General duties include but are not limited to: Monitor plant fixed asset activity. Work closely with plant engineering and capitalize activity in accordance with company guidelines. Peform basic general ledger reconciliation activities as they relate to payables, payroll and fixed assets. Assist in month end closing activities as they relate to the payable, inventory and fixed asset functions. Also responsible for entering various journal enteries into ERP system. Prepare various financial reports, as directed and required. Quarterly monitoring of plant cycle counts. Assist in basic cost maintenance activities, i.e. raw material pricing, etc. Assist in the monthly WIP count activities and valuation.
