Accountant III Financial Reporting
Position Responsibilities:
Liaise with Legal and to obtain all information regarding entity changes and ownership transfers. Communicate all anticipated and completed legal entity changes with the financial reporting department. Prepare monthly report to summarize changes by major categories.
Reconcile the legal entity management system to the consolidation entity mapping.
Coordinate with over 200 international offices to compile data for centralize reporting database.
Ensure that the correct percentages are being used for non-controlling interests.
Update quarterly report for each legal entity to reflect current ownership percentage, method of accounting, equity value, cash and invested assets and explanatory comments.
Ensure all quarterly affirmations and consolidation analyses are completed timely by the regional approvers.
Request quarterly board minutes from the legal department and review for changes in financial guarantees or ownership structures.
Review of derivative, variable interest entities, other invested assets and intercompany schedules inputted in Clarity Application
Supervise and control the data collection process; verify supporting documentation and review for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Design, implement and improve the reporting process and related systems. Must be willing to be a “hands on” contributor in a manual environment.
Position Requirements:
At least four years of experience in financial reporting and related control environments. Public accounting or private.
Proficiency in MS Office, with strong knowledge of Excel.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in the field of accounting. CPA license strongly preferred.
