Accountant/Controller-Trainee
Our client company is looking for a career minded individual with knowledge of or a strong interest in learning about an agricultural business and its clientele. The successful candidate will spend up to 2 years working in various capacities for the business to achieve a thorough understanding of the business, its product, processes, and customers. Following that training, the trainee would move into the management office to work along side of and transition with the outgoing controller for a similar time frame. This position is key to the succession planning of the business so career stability and strong local ties are strongly preferred.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance or accounting.
At least five years of experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, finance manager, commodity buyer, or other financial discipline.
Demonstrated ability to cooperate with a team of fellow managers and ability to effectively direct the work of others.
Must posess strong interpersonal skills to interface with clients and vendors on a daily basis.
Must have a strong track record of personal and professional financial responsibility.
