Accountant 3\4
Position within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Revenue Accounting team. We are looking for candidates who are driven by challenges, are motivated by opportunities,
and who are experienced, personable, flexible and versatile financial accountants. Duties include accounting for sales and cost of sales for Commercial Airplanes. This includes the ability to analyze complex transactions, understand detailed contracts, determine proper accounting treatment, and impact to financial statements and forecast. This position requires initiative, problem solving, understanding the overall business context, and collaboration with Contracts, Revenue Management, Airplane Programs accounting, Financial Planning and others. This is a team environment where support of other airplane program accountants and time flexibility is required.
Participation in monthly and year end closing including manual and automated journals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and government reports. Use of PeopleSoft, Revenue Management System (RMS), project costing, and Cognos for internal and external reporting processes. Support of documentation and testing associated with compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other revenue accounting-related functions.

Complete ability to support development and deployment of accounting systems and tools.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 3 - Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 4 - Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Job related information
Strong US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) revenue recognition knowledge desired. CPA or CPA candidate a plus. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
