Apps Systems Engineer 5 - Ab Initio Lead

Manager will consider candidates in any US Wells Fargo Corporate location based on experience and availability to travel to San Francisco and Minneapolis when necessary. Within the Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) Channels Sales and Marketing (CSM) organization, this candidate will be the technical lead/application architect for CSM on the Multi-Channel Lead Management initiative. Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Collaborate with multiple technology teams primarily Enterprise Business Services, the Community Bank, multiple product partners, a marketing operations team while partnering closely with a third-party vendor to ensure a holistic, fully integrated solution is developed. Additionally, the candidate will act as a developer for complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. The Multi-Channel Lead Management solution is focused on optimizing leads to the Community Bank sales channels through two primary vehicles: Multi-Channel Lead Management (managing leads with a focus on the customer and shareholder value) and Channel Targeting. The environment is fast-paced and challenging with daily loads and business needs that necessitate quick issue resolution. Additional responsibilities entail, analysis of highly complex business requirements, designs and/or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Creating technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provide coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
Basic Qualifications: 7+ years application development and implementation experience.
Minimum Qualifications: - 3+ years Ab Initio and Teradata or related programming experience - Ability to code complex stored procedures along with extensive database knowledge and tuning skills - Demonstrated track record of developing and managing vendor relationships. - Proven leadership ability with technical projects and technical teams. - Solid experience with system integration. - Strong verbal and written communicator. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Self-starter with ability to multi-task. - Effective collaborator with both business and technical teams. - Must be able to work on-call hours as required.
Preferred Skills: - Well versed in Teradata analytic functions, query optimization, explain plans, parallelism, and other advanced database topics - Batch processing in a data warehouse environment preferred - UNIX experience preferred - Marketing, lead and/or referral knowledge desired.
