Financial Analyst Description Description As a Financial Analyst you will provide analysis for the national productions operations group covering over 20 national loan fulfillment sites and support teams within Chase Mortgage Banking. You will be responsible for analysis on business drivers across all functional groups within operations. You will assist management in understanding productivity and variances to forecast. You will assist in the creation of budgets and forecasts for support groups. Performs other analysis and activities including financial analysis/reporting/modeling, forecasts, full budget process, site planning, cost/benefit analysis, volume modeling, business strategies/initiatives, expense control, headcount (HC) analysis/reporting, KPI/ad-hoc analysis and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
* BS/BA in Finance, Accounting ; experience in mortgage, banking or financial services a plus. * Must have a minimum 3 years of related experience in financial analysis/performance, forecasting and budgeting; experience working in Finance for a volume based organization is a plus. * Prior experience building models in excel * Working knowledge of US GAAP and ability to compile integrated set of financial statements * Excellent interpersonal skills - must have the ability to build strong working relationships with operations, clients and team members with Finance; Customer Service skills and a proactive ("can do") attitude are critical to your success in this support function. * Strong business analysis and time management skills * Excellent data management and problem solving skills * Must be able to deal with ambiguity and find/solve problems via analyzing trends * Detailed-oriented and hands-on self-starter with a strong sense of urgency * Must be self motivated and have the ability to work independently while maintaining focus on team work and in a team without direction. * Strong problem solving ability, organization and prioritization skills including good judgment and decision making abilities are necessary for success in this role * Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical and presentation skills are needed * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects at the same time and still meet Monthly finance deadlines (business as usual) also provide accurate and timely data all levels of management. * Advanced proficiency with Excel * Experienced user of Essbase and proficiency in SAP is a plus * Perfect Candidate would be accountable (delivers), aggressive, adaptable, assertive, motivating, collaborative (ability to deal with conflict and criticism constructively), innovative (forward thinking), and of integrity (displays the highest standards of business ethics and practices).
