Title: Individual Marketing Group Manager- Retirement Plans Services Location: Americas-United States-Maryland-Owings Mills Other Locations: null PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Group Manager within Individual Retirement Marketing builds upon the strong foundational work and programs delivered by the Individual Investor/Participant Experience team, while continuing the strategic direction to enhance interactions with our investors in the retirement plan space and through the connectivity of our retail offering. With the responsibility of leading change, this position plays a key to our future success is our ability to bring differentiated, holistic solutions to individual investors through their workplace retirement plans. Additionally, the role is responsible for leading the overall department, driving performance, development and growth of its associates.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES RPS Individual Investor- Represent RPS in setting and delivering on strategic direction in this cross enterprise initiative to integrate experiences across business unit channels in order to drive value to clients and TRP. Bringing forward a full understanding of the voice of the participant as well as the sponsor in the program development.
Employee Meeting Strategy and Delivery- Provides strategic direction to this team to develop and deliver education to RPS participants that will drive bottom line value to TRP, increase client satisfaction and maximize this team as a core asset.
Employee Strategy and Program Development- Provides strategic direction to this team to develop the participant experience/value prop and oversee management of the execution of this core service while maintaining a holistic view of the overall portfolio of offerings created/available to the target segments. Accountable to develop unique approaches and deliver results that demonstrate TRP leadership in delivering participant results toward retirement income success.
Communication Consultant Services- responsible for the strategic direction of the team around the creation and execution of the marketing programs developed across client segments. Accountable to develop unique approaches that deliver results demonstrating TRP leadership in delivering positive participant outcomes in addition to maximize resource efficiency across the group while maintaining high customer loyalty.
Process and Budget management- Provide strategic direction to develop end to end view of core processes within the group while driving for efficiency to create operating capacity. In addition, budget to develop programs and communications within the established budget. Responsible for developing annual budget plan and justification for executing marketing business plan.
Vendor Management- represent T. Rowe Price with key vendors in this space to optimize client satisfaction, maximize distribution and profitability.
External Representative- represents the business unit (RPS Marketing) through sales meetings, speaking engagements, press tours/relationships, client meetings, and consultant meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS Preferred * MBA or other advanced degree with 10 years of financial services experience * 10 years experience in defined contribution business * Advanced knowledge and understanding of T. Rowe Price investment products * Advanced knowledge of T. Rowe Price systems and processes * Sales and marketing background * Series 7 and 63 registered - required - principal registration preferred and required upon hire Required * College degree and 8 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 10 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 12 years related work experience * Demonstrated people management and leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and performance management * Demonstrated business process improvement and project management skills * Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and to plan and manage the business strategically * Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change * Demonstrated ability to solve problems and identify effective solutions within existing resource, culture, and systemic constraints * Demonstrated ability to identify the optimal working structures to maximize productivity of resources with varying levels and types of skills * Advanced communication and presentation skills * Investment and product knowledge * Advanced relationship management and sales skills * Experience and knowledge of operational issues impacting asset management firms * Clear understanding of defined contribution market and sales T.
