Organizational Objective/Purpose: The CSIM Policies and Controls team is focused on Operational Risk and oversight including operating event root cause analysis, resolution and reporting, defining and measuring key risks, key risk indicators, scenario analysis and other components of operational risk. This manager will also provide support on the fund policies, applicable processes and related procedures to ensure all regulatory policies are adhered to.
Brief Description of Role: • Validate documentation of policies, applicable processes and related desktop procedures to ensure all regulatory policies are adhered to and procedures are maintained and validated with the owners on a regular basis. • Ensure that processes and controls are operating effectively to minimize risk and that exceptions are being reviewed by management for mitigation. • Investigate risk events to understand the root cause of the issue, document the resolution and improved controls and prepare final documentation for closure. • Prepare monthly management reports, maintain the operating event database, research any trends and report out on any findings. • Work with various CSIM teams to prepare and maintain their quarterly internal Risk Controls Self Assessment reporting and validating the functions, risks and controls of each group process. • Provide reporting to management and corporate Operational Risk on key business risks, KRI’s, and potential emerging risks for CSIM. • Provide support to various CSIM teams on internal and external audits and assist with validation of the risk matrix and controls.
Technical/Functional Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required • At least 3 – 5 years Operational risk, compliance, audit or finance related work experience • Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint presentations • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook • Ability to work with internal departments, vendors, legal, traders, and fund accountants on resolution of exceptions • Excellent oral and written communications skills • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, facilitation, decision-making and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as a team while ensuring deadlines are met, data is accurate, and the end-product adds value to CSIM • Results oriented and drives execution: Ability to multi-task in a changing environment, prioritize accordingly and make executive decisions • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of management and build effective working relationships with business partners Job Specifications:
