Job Description :

ORIX Corporate Capital ("OCC"), a diversified financial services company, seeks a Director or an Associate Director for its Leveraged Finance practice.  The position is based in our main office in Dallas, Texas. OCC deploys proprietary capital in a wide variety of industry sectors and investment types - including senior secured debt, second lien debt, first-out / last-out structures, unitranche debt, mezzanine debt, and preferred and common equity investments in the U.S. and Canada.  OCC acts as a principal investor and holds investments for our own account.
 
Responsibilities
The Director or Associate Director (title depending upon experience level) will be responsible for originating, structuring, assisting in the underwriting, and closing of private debt and equity investments. Primary responsibilities will include transaction analysis, structuring investment proposals, preparation of internal investment approval memoranda, negotiating definitive documentation, and closing transactions. Additional responsibilities include originating investment opportunities from a variety of sources to include private equity groups and other investment vehicles, special situation/financial advisors, and family offices. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the investment process through the rigorous analysis of financial statements and projections, evaluating management, industry, competition and other risk factors, understanding alternative capital structures, and determining company and collateral value. Successful candidates must also be comfortable working as part of a team to develop independent and fact based investment recommendations that will pre-qualify, propose, win, and close new transactions.
Job Requirements :

The role requires a minimum of five to seven years of related corporate credit/leveraged loan/mezzanine loan or equity origination and underwriting experience. Successful candidates must be independent and results oriented; possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; work effectively and flexibly as part several transaction teams; and demonstrate the ability to creatively structure and close transactions consistent with ORIX's risk and return objectives.
           
       Additional requirements include:
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* An MBA, CPA or CFA (or work experience equivalent) and an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
* Proficiency in Word and Excel
