Line of Business:INSURANCE Job Category:Sales Primary Purpose: To sell new personal lines coverages to Bankreferrals (system wide) and to sell personal lines policies to new BB&Temployees, as well as retirees and board members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of theessential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major andminor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from timeto time. 1. Respond to allreferrals faxed in, mailed in or called in toSalesCenteras quickly as possible from time ofreceipt. Input into system immediately. 2. Quote and sellappropriate coverages to these prospects with major carriers represented. 3. Quote and sell BB&Temployees, retirees and board members personal insurance either through specificemployee program or most appropriate company. 4. Obtain expiration datesfor other lines of business from referral customers. 5. Solicit referral leadsfrom satisfied customers who were referred to us. 6. Maintain accurate,current knowledge of all company guidelines system wide, keeping manual up-todate at all times. 7. Personal Lines newbusiness sales goals will be mutually agreed upon with Insurance Sales CenterManager. 8. Maintain all necessarycontinuing education classes and other training as deemed appropriate byManager. Required Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Grade assignment basedprimarily upon the individual's level of experience and production duction goal minimums to be established annually. 2. High School graduate(or equivalent education and related training) and a minimum of three yearsinsurance industry experience 3. Proven track record andaptitude toward Personal Lines sales 4. Strong interpersonalskills, especially telephone demeanor 5. Strong team playerethics, and willingness to help all reach goals 6. Have appropriateinsurance licenses Desired Skills: 1. Knowledge of and/orability to learn Insurance Service's automation system
