Position Reports To Director of Outreach Summary As a key member of the Outreach team the candidate is expected to contribute to all aspects of the strategic plan of outreach to stakeholders of the public company audit. This position is also expected to consult with, and facilitate communication among, CAQ Directors, project managers, consultants, vendors, and others to assist with planning and implementing sustainable relationships inside and outside of the profession. Responsibilities • Contributing to the development and execution of a strategic plan to outreach to stakeholders of the public company audit. Stakeholder groups include, but are not limited to, investors (institutional and individual), academics, state/federal/and independent regulators, and C-suite corporate leaders. • Contributing to the development and execution of our communications strategy in support of sustainability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound social and political acumen and superb negotiating and problem solving ability are required. • Contributing to planning and managing stakeholder relations which will improve the CAQ’s reputation amongst key opinion formers. • Liaising across operational, policy and strategic departments in order to have a solid understanding of the implications of the daily and long-term issues facing the CAQ and the profession to make informed decisions. • Any other duties assigned by the Director of Outreach.
Requirements:
Experience ¨ 10+ years of working in the financial industry sector with experience dealing with clients, regulators, and other financial professionals ¨ Bachelor’s Degree with advanced degree preferred ¨ Excellent written and verbal communication skills ¨ Proven project management skills ¨ Ability to motivate and supervise others ¨ Ability to handle multiple priorities/projects simultaneously and work independently; self-starter ¨ Ability to meet deadlines and perform well in a fast paced environment ¨ Detail oriented and analytical with strong problem solving skills ¨ Proven ability to manage project risks and recommend appropriate solutions. ¨ Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships within a cross-functional matrix organization ¨ Excellent leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills Please respond via our website at www.aicpa.org/careers and post your resume directly online with us.
